Improving quality of life

  • Water Bill Discount for On-Time Payments

    ☑ Propose a 10% discount for all residents who make their water bill payments on time.


    ☑ Churches will receive a 15% discount on their water bill


    ☑ The residents of Youngstown deserve to be taxed fairly for all taxes especially for essential services such as water & sewage.

  • Reopen all fire stations

    ☑ I would like to reopen all Fire Stations & gather the funds needed to make that happen.


    ☑ The firefighters in and surrounding Youngstown do a fantastic job & deserve to be compensated properly.



    ☑ Propose integrating EMS into the stations to help with response times and

    provide additional income revenues for the Firestations


    **This will help with saving lives, faster response times, and contributing to each Fire Station’s overall value & long term success.

  • Community Opportunity Program

    ☑ Lower lawn care maintenance from $150 to $75 & audit our current maintenance systems.


    ☑ Propose to council to permit the public to be able to speak at ALL city council meetings before decisions are made.



    ☑ Annual community volunteer clean ups & beautification of parks. 


    **Example is having a community poll to pick flowers to plant or park to paint etc....

    Then planning a day to do it with volunteers.

  • Create Neighborhood Centers

    ☑ Centers would be located on each side of town and for multi-use purposes including:

    • An office for the community police officer to utilize
    • A location for Block Watch/Neighborhood group meeting areas

    ☑ Operations would fall under the direction of Community Affairs.


Community Investment

  • Improved Lights & Streets

    ☑ Invest in LED & Solar powered street lights to reduce crimes & keep neighborhoods safe.


    ☑ Work smarter not harder by enabling coordination on city projects as a mean to prevent future issues.


    ☑ More reliable and power efficient LED & Solar Lights will help prevent any future auto-pedestrian crashes.

  • Smart Demolition Program

    ☑ Allow residents to take over properties on the demolition list with stipulations for reinvestment.


    ☑ Evaluate properties for repurposing before demolition.


    ☑ We can establish Neighborhood Centers by renovating some of our

    current assets.


    ☑ Get proper zoning & permits before demolition.

  • Vacant Property Initiative

    ☑ Give away vacant residential lots to inspire growth and reduce maintenance costs.


    ☑ This will help with community involvement & improving the conditions of the city.


     ☑ Offer a loan program that assists with renovation costs under eligibility requirements.

  • Police Department Reform

    ☑ Pull the community officers and put them back on the police force to increase police force and reduce reponse times.


    ☑ Improve mental health training for police officers in crisis situations.


    ☑ 3-4 Patrol cars on each side of town & increased budget for police.


    ☑ Bike patrol & beat walks to personalize interactions between residents and officers.


    ☑ Sub Stations on each size of town to decrease response times.

Economic Development

  • Propose lower r.i.t.a taxes

    ☑ The Proposed R.I.T.A Tax Reduction Will Draw In New Business, Giving Youngstown More Opportunity For New Business Development 


    ☑ The City Of Youngstown Has The Highest R.I.T.A. Tax In The Entire State


    ☑ Does our Police Department and Fire Department Reflect Our High Tax Rate?

  • Create A Food & Tech Hub

    ☑ Encourage partnership with entities already in this type of business


    ☑ Create a centralized food warehouse in a city-owned facility and/or existing warehousing needing repurposed


    ☑ Locations to our advantage based on location to residents, ease of transportation, and increasing a possibility of urban farming opportunities


    ☑ This is a highly profitable market & these jobs would attract more

    millennials to work in our city.

  • Invest in Cryptocurrency

    ☑ With proper land & foundation we can develop warehouses dedicated to cryptocurrency mining.


    ☑  This will create jobs for many people in various industries with desirable wages.


    ☑ Being involved in crypto will help prepare Youngstown for the future & give us a name in the technology industry.


    ☑ The money coming in will fuel

    business development in the IT industry. 

  • Restructured economic Development department

    ☑ Recycle and reinvent EVERYTHING in city hall


    ☑ One stop shop permit process


    ☑ Changes such as moving the the litter control/recycling division to EDD

  • Create a Business Resource Center

    ☑ Use current city-owned property to house a Job Training/Planning/Permitting/Business Services hub.


    ☑ Serves as a foundation or reference for new and existing business owners. 


    ☑ Partner with YSU for community class and speaker events.


    ☑ Creates networking opportunities and incentives for local residents.

  • Prepare Land for New Business Direction

    ☑ Youngstown is between Cleveland & Pittsburgh, making it a hotspot for businesses in the manufacturing & industrial industries.


    ☑ We have incredible road infrastructure around with access to most major highways from virtually everywhere.


    ☑ Our land needs to be ready for this as it is a big opportunity to secure a positive long-term future.



  • Drug & Mental Health Facilities

    ☑ Around 42% of Ohio children have experienced some sort of trauma or adversity which can lead to long-term consequences.

    ☑ Collaborate with businesses and nonprofits to develop innovative uses for city assets, such as pop-up retail or shared workspace programs.


    ☑ Promote parks, historical sites, and waterfronts for eco-tourism, cultural events, and outdoor activities to attract visitors and boost local spending.


    ☑ Lease underutilized city-owned land or venues for events, markets, or commercial use to generate revenue.

  • Streamline the permitting process

    ☑ Standardize requirements, simplify forms, and provide checklists to minimize confusion and delays.


    ☑ Create expedited review processes for simple or low-risk permits to improve efficiency.


    ☑ Use a centralized database and streamline approvals across departments to prevent bottlenecks and duplicate reviews.

  • Address the physical police presence

    ☑ Deploy officers to regularly patrol neighborhoods, parks, and business districts, fostering a sense of security and community engagement.


    ☑ Implement foot and bike patrols in key areas to enhance accessibility, improve relationships with residents, and allow officers to respond quickly to incidents.
